How to play
Open a skill page (for example the 7 times table) and press the yellow Play button. The first question appears in about a second. Tap one of the four answers, or type the answer on the keypad and press ✓ (on a computer you can use the number keys and Enter). A round has 10 questions; at the end you see your stars, your time and the facts to work on. The buttons under Play start the other games: Speed test (as many answers as you can in 60 seconds), Gates runner (swipe or use the arrow keys to run through the right gate), Memory (find the pairs), Make 10 (tap two numbers that add up to 10) and Test (20 questions for a diploma).
Settings
The "change" link under the Play button opens the settings: which tables or numbers, how many questions, a timer or none, buttons or keypad, the order of the questions, sound, and calm mode for the gates runner (the gates wait for you). Sound is off until you turn it on.
How to print
Every skill page has ready-made PDF worksheets in the downloads section: press "Download PDF" or "Print". To make your own, use "Make your own worksheet": choose the skill, numbers, number of problems, answer key, versions and paper (Letter or A4), then "Create PDF". After a game, "Print these" makes a sheet of the facts you missed. The diploma prints from the end screen of a passed test; the name is typed on the screen only.
Projector mode and fullscreen
Press the projector icon in the game toolbar: the game goes fullscreen with big digits on a dark background, the four answers numbered 1-4 and Team A / Team B score buttons. Press Esc or "Exit projector mode" to leave. The fullscreen button does the same without the classroom extras.
Where is my progress saved?
Stars, records, stickers, settings and the list of facts to work on are saved in this browser on this device (localStorage). They are not sent to us and they are not on other devices. If you clear your browser data, they are deleted. If several children share a device, they share the progress.
Delete my progress
Press the button below to delete all stars, records, stickers, mistakes and settings from this device. It can't be undone. Button: Delete my progress
Something doesn't work
If a game doesn't load, check the connection and press "Try again". The games need JavaScript; the worksheets can be downloaded without it. If a problem stays, tell us on the contact page which page, which device and which browser.
Questions and answers
Do I need an account?
No. Nothing on MathGym needs an account.
Can I play offline?

My child's stars are gone. Why?
Progress is kept in the browser. Private windows, a different browser or cleared browser data start fresh.
