Times tables worksheets for every table

This multiplication chart page and its times tables and multiplication worksheets cover every table from 1 to 12, as charts, practice sheets, tests and printable multiplication games. All are free PDFs with an answer key. Start with the chart for the wall (a one-page print out in black and white, also known as the multiplication grid or, in UK schools, the multiplication square), then use the sheets in the order most schools teach: 2, 5 and 10 first; 3, 4 and 8 next; then 6, 7 and 9; and 11 and 12 last. The mixed sheet works as a printable multiplication quiz or drill sheet, and with the missing-factor sheet it shows whether the facts are really known, not just recited in order. For basic single-digit multiplication facts only, choose the tables 2 to 9 in the generator.

Printable multiplication games

Paper games make practice social. In the multiplication dice game, two players roll two dice, multiply, and color the product on their board - the first to fill a row wins. "Four in a row" uses two paper-clip pointers on a row of factors; players move one clip and claim the product. Bingo works for a whole class: the caller reads "6 × 7" and pupils look for 42. All rules are on the sheets, with no extra material except dice and paper clips.

Make your own sheet

The generator above makes a new sheet in seconds: choose the tables, the number of problems and whether you want an answer key. For a class, choose 2-4 versions so neighbors get different problems. If your child just played a game here, "Mistakes from my game" prints only the facts they missed.

How to use the worksheets

A worksheet is best as a check after a game, not as the first practice. Let your child play a round on the table's page, then fill in a sheet without help, then check with the answer key together. For the blank, empty multiplication chart, time it: when a child fills in all 144 cells correctly in a few minutes, the times tables are learned. Print the certificate as a reward when the test on the table page is passed.

For UK teachers

The sheets go up to 12 × 12, and the mixed sheet with 60 problems is good preparation for the Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check. Choose A4 in the generator; the layout and the answer key stay the same.
